Press Release

Cook County, Illinois – CourtFiling.net was launched in July, 2018 as an electronic filing service provider (EFSP) for Cook County, all other Illinois counties, and other states. CourtFiling.net was launched in response to the Illinois Supreme Court ruling requiring that, effective July 1, 2018, all court users electronically file civil cases in the Cook County Clerk’s Office. Civil cases include arbitration, chancery, eminent domain, law, law magistrate, miscellaneous remedy, municipal corporation, small claims, tax, adoption, dissolution, family, mental health, and probate. The clerk’s office uses an eFileIL system, and they recommend using an EFSP to facilitate electronic filing.

Lawgical responded promptly by creating CourtFiling.net, its own EFSP to assist current clients using ServeNow and ServeManager products who want to file electronically in Cook County, Illinois. Since most process servers and legal support professionals provide court filing services, CourtFiling.net is a natural addition to the current marketing and software solutions for Lawgical’s clients, specifically those who use ServeNow and ServeManager.

“eFiling is an important part of our customers’, and their clients’, workflow,” said Trent Carlyle, co-founder and CTO of Lawgical. ‘The addition of CourtFiling.net is a perfect fit for our suite of products. We want to offer legal support professionals a low-cost, easy-to-use system that integrates into our current products and helps our customers expand their services to grow their businesses.”

CourtFiling.net was created to make eFiling as simple as possible for those who are transitioning from the old system. The portal includes 24/7 support, PDF conversion, instant access to case summaries, detailed reports, file-stamped documents, support articles, and FAQ pages. Moving to an electronic system for filing can be initially intimidating to many legal professionals, but it inevitably makes the court system and business processes more efficient and environmentally friendly. CourtFiling.net was built with an easy transition and learning process in mind.

Ultimately, CourtFiling.net will be fully integrated into ServeManager, where documents and affidavits can be filed with a click of a button, eliminating duplicate entries and provide a single interface where process servers and their customers can view the status of their serves, filings, and more. Process servers and law firms nationwide will be able to use ServeManager and CourtFiling.net together for a faster and more accurate process overall.

CourtFiling.net is currently live in 99 counties and 103 courts in the state of Illinois, and also has a portal for eFiling in California courts.
