Press Release

Denver, CO – After a recent acquisition by legal-focused online marketing company Lawgical, Legal Talk Network, an online legal podcast network, is now being produced out of a Denver-based studio. The new studio boasts equipment and software designed to maintain the high-quality experience existing listeners expect.

As Legal Talk Network joined Lawgical’s existing roster of legal support brands, including ServeNow.com, PInow.com, and AboutBail.com, the company chose to shift production to an existing Lawgical office. With readily available space and resources in Lawgical’s Denver office, Legal Talk Network made the move.

“We’re excited to make Denver the home of Legal Talk Network,” Lawgical co-founder and CTO Trent Carlyle explained. “Denver was named a top 10 city for tech startups by USA Today, and even though Legal Talk Network is already well-established, it will be great to see the network contribute to the local tech community and help it grow.” Carlyle noted that although production is now based in Denver the hosts and show guests are scattered across various cities throughout the country.

With a move to the area came the opportunity to re-evaluate the show’s equipment, production process, and general needs. During the network’s acquisition period, nearly every component of the recording and editing process was audited, along with every piece of gear and equipment. The processing gear was pulled, re-evaluated, and ultimately upgraded where it would improve the clarity of the content. From outboard hardware to internal software, the studio and its capabilities have been fully re-envisioned.

“This was an opportunity to build the ideal studio for Legal Talk Network,” Lawgical CEO Adam Camras explained. “The new facility has been designed from the ground up using the many years of previous podcast development as a knowledgebase for where production needed improvement and where processes were already working smoothly. It’s given us the opportunity to really take a look at how we can improve these podcasts and ultimately expand our listener-base and grow the network.”

Two podcasts, Taking Control of Your Mobile Apps and Digital Cameras in Law: Are Smartphones Good Enough? mark the network’s first productions from the Denver studio. Both podcasts were for the network’s Kennedy-Mighell report, hosted by attorneys Dennis Kennedy and Tom Mighell. Podcast quality is still projected to improve as new equipment continues to be incorporated.
